About Fargo Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning
Fargo Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning is an independently operated local service that does one thing: connect restaurants and commercial kitchens across the Fargo–Moorhead metro with certified, insured local companies for NFPA 96 kitchen exhaust cleaning, rooftop fan service, and grease trap pumping. We coordinate the schedule, the scope, and the paperwork; the crews on your roof and under your sinks are the certified operators who do this work every night.
That’s the whole model, and we’d rather explain it plainly than dress it up.
How it works
You call (701) 765-5584 or send the form. We ask the questions that actually set scope — how many hoods, what you cook, when you close, how your roof is accessed, whether you have an indoor trap or an in-ground interceptor. Then we line up a certified local crew, a service window after your close, and a firm quote from a free walkthrough.
After the service, you get what the job is supposed to produce: before-and-after photos, a written service report, a dated certification sticker on the hood, and — on the grease side — a disposal manifest. That paperwork is the point. It’s what a Fargo Fire Department inspector asks to see, and it’s what an insurance adjuster asks for after any incident.
What we are not
- We are not a national franchise. No call center in another time zone, no crew driving in from three states away on a route they’ll never run again.
- We do not hold IKECA certification ourselves, and we do not issue certificates. The certifications that matter — IKECA’s CECS, CECT, and CESI — belong to the companies performing the work. North Dakota imposes no state license for hood cleaners, which is exactly why those credentials, and insurance, are the bar we hold crews to.
- We never guarantee an inspection outcome. Nobody honest can. What a documented, bare-metal cleaning does is remove every reason for an inspector to write your kitchen up on exhaust grounds.
- We don’t invent credentials, reviews, or history. What you see on this site is what the service is.
Why the referral model makes sense here
The Fargo–Moorhead market has plenty of kitchens — downtown Fargo’s Broadway corridor alone holds the densest restaurant block in North Dakota — but hood cleaning, fan repair, and grease hauling are three different trades with three different trucks. Most GMs end up juggling separate vendors, separate invoices, and separate stickers, and the thing that slips is the schedule. A hood that was supposed to be inspected quarterly quietly goes eight months.
One local point of contact fixes that. We keep your kitchen’s cadence — the NFPA 96 Table 12.4 frequency for your cooking volume on the exhaust side, the 25% rule on the grease trap side — and we book the right crew before the interval lapses, not after an inspector notices it did.
The standard we hold the work to
Every exhaust job we coordinate is the full NFPA 96 job: hood, filters, plenum, ductwork, and rooftop fan, cleaned to the bare-metal endpoint by the ANSI/IKECA C10 method — not a canopy wipe-down with a fresh sticker. Every trap job is a full pump-out with the waste hauled to city-approved discharge points, not a skim. If a crew can’t document that standard with photos, we don’t send them.
We work Fargo and the metro core, West Fargo, Horace, Casselton, and a scheduled route to Grand Forks. Pricing is published — see the pricing page — because the ranges are honest and the walkthrough quote is free.
If that’s the kind of vendor relationship you want for your kitchen, call (701) 765-5584 or send the form. We’ll take it from there.
